SUBJECT: Constituent email- Support HB103 for fluoride local control
Dear Senator (insert Senator's last name),
I am your constituent in (insert your town name). I am writing to ask for your support on HB103 to repeal Kentucky's statewide mandate to add artificial fluoride chemicals to the water. HB103 passed the House on February 5.
HB103 is about local control. It does not require removal of fluoride from local water supplies. HB103 repeals Kentucky's current unfunded state mandate regarding local artificial water fluoridation. This bill would give the authority to make decisions regarding local artificial water fluoridation to the governing board of the local water producer.
As a concerned citizen, I want the ability to dialogue with my local water producer regarding artificially fluoridating the water. This bill gives me a larger voice in decisions about the water that is provided to my household.
Thank you for your consideration.
