HB16 to repeal Kentucky's statewide unfunded water fluoridation mandate has passed in the House and is now in the Senate. To keep this bill moving, it is urgent that your state senator hear from you. Here is how to contact your senator.

Every weekday you can call the legislative message line 800-372-7181. The operator will ask for your name and address to determine your legislators. Ask to leave the following message:
1) For your SENATOR: "Please support HB16 to give local control over fluoride to the local water producers. Repeal this unfunded statewide mandate."

Dear Senator (insert Senator's last name),
I am your constituent in (insert your town name). I am writing to ask for your support on HB16 relating to water fluoridation programs, which has passed the House and is now in the Senate.
HB16 is about local control. It does not require removal of fluoride from local water supplies. HB16 repeals Kentucky's current unfunded state mandate regarding local artificial water fluoridation. This bill would give the authority to make decisions regarding local artificial water fluoridation to the governing board of the local water producer.
As a concerned citizen, I want the ability to dialogue with my local water producer regarding artificially fluoridating the water. This bill gives me a larger voice in decisions about the water that is provided to my household.
